"Yes. I have supported efforts in the Congress to increase funding for the NPS in order to eliminate the backlog. The NPS is a crown jewel in this country, utilized by millions of families every year. For so many children, it is their only contact with relatively pristine land, and helps reconnect our citizens to nature. Having these kinds of positive outdoor experiences helps us all to understand why we need to value our lands, waters and natural resources, and help us understand our place in the natural world."
